Interim results exclude extraordinary / exceptional items
Year-on-Year Performance:
- The company's operating income during the quarter grew 5.0% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. The expenses were up by 3.6% YoY during the same period.
- The company's operating profit increased by 13.1% YoY during the quarter. Consequently, operating profit margins witnessed a growth and stood at 16.0% in 3QFY20 as against 14.9% in 3QFY19.
- Depreciation charges increased by 26.1% and finance costs declined by 20.2% YoY, respectively.
- Other income increased by 33.5% YoY during the quarter.
- Net profit for the quarter increased by 35.9% YoY. Net profit margins during the quarter increased from 7.9% in 3QFY19 to 10.2% in 3QFY20.
Quarter-on-Quarter Performance:
- The company's operating income during the quarter grew 3.5% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis. The expenses were up by 1.5% QoQ during the same period.
- The company's operating profit increased by 15.1% QoQ during the quarter. Consequently, operating profit margins witnessed a growth and stood at 16.0% in 3QFY20 as against 14.4% in 2QFY19.
- Net profit for the quarter declined by 4.2% QoQ, while net profit margins declined from 11.0% in 2QFY19 to 10.2% in 3QFY20.
