Interim results exclude extraordinary / exceptional items
Year-on-Year Performance:
- The company's operating income during the quarter fell 14.1% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis. The expenses were down by 15.8% YoY during the same period.
- The company's operating profit declined by 6.7% YoY during the quarter. Consequently, operating profit margins witnessed a growth and stood at 20.2% in 3QFY20 as against 18.6% in 3QFY19.
- Depreciation charges increased by 47.3% and finance costs declined by 3.6% YoY, respectively.
- Other income increased by 177.6% YoY during the quarter.
- Net profit for the quarter declined by 11.7% YoY. Net profit margins during the quarter increased from 11.2% in 3QFY19 to 11.4% in 3QFY20.
Quarter-on-Quarter Performance:
- The company's operating income during the quarter grew 10.8% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis. The expenses were up by 12.0% QoQ during the same period.
- The company's operating profit increased by 6.2% QoQ during the quarter. Consequently, operating profit margins witnessed a decline and stood at 20.2% in 3QFY20 as against 21.1% in 2QFY19.
- Net profit for the quarter declined by 24.9% QoQ, while net profit margins declined from 16.9% in 2QFY19 to 11.4% in 3QFY20.
