Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was known as "India's Warren Buffett." Before he passed away in August 2022, he managed his own portfolio as a partner in his asset management firm, Rare Enterprises.
His most noteworthy and most talked about bet was in Titan. You probably would not believe this but when Rakesh Jhunjhunwala bought 80 million shares of Titan between 2002-2003, they were priced at Rs 3 per share.
Since his passing, his portfolio has been managed by the team at Rare Enterprises headed by Utpal Sheth and Amit Goela.
