The SGX Nifty opened on a positive note today.
At 8:15 am, it was trading up by 42 points, or 0.37% higher at 11,420 levels.
Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a positive opening for Indian stock markets.
Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note on Friday. HDFC Bank ADR rose 1.4% while Infosys ADR dipped 1.7%.
Asian stock markets are trading higher today, led by gains in Hong Kong, amid signs of a thawing in US-China tensions from the Trump administration and as investors await a policy speech by Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell later this week.
As of the most recent prices, the Hang Seng is trading up by 1.6% and the Shanghai Composite is trading up by 0.4%. The Nikkei is trading up by 0.3%.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed at record highs on Friday, as data pointed to some pockets of strength in the US economy.
