AXIS BANK at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Up 1.0%

AXIS BANK share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 820 (up 2.2%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 24,158 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are AXIS BANK (up 2.2%) and HIMADRI SPECIALITY CHEMICAL (up 5.9%).

DHFL (down 10.0%) and YES BANK (down 8.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, AXIS BANK has moved up from Rs 450 to Rs 820, registering a gain of Rs 371 (up 82.35%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 15,217 to 24,158, registering a gain of 8,941 points (up 58.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were JSW ENERGY (up 449.1%), ADANI ENTERPRISES (up 427.7%) and TATA ELXSI (up 310.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 59,663 (up 0.9%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BAJAJ FINSERV (up 2.9%), BAJAJ FINANCE (up 2.6%) and AXIS BANK (up 2.2%). Other gainers include BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.6%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 17,771 (up 0.8%). BAJAJ FINSERV (up 3.0%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 2.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 39,044 to 59,663, registering a gain of 20,619 points (up 52.8%).

AXIS BANK Financial Update...

AXIS BANK net profit stood at Rs 24 billion for the quarter ended June 2021, compared to a profit of Rs 13 billion a year ago. Operating income rose 3.5% to Rs 163.0 billion during the period as against Rs 157.6 billion in April-June 2020.

For the year ended March 2021, AXIS BANK reported 286.0% increase in net profit to Rs 72.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 18.8 billion during FY20.

Revenue of the company grew 1.5% to Rs 647 billion during FY21.

The current Price to earnings ratio of AXIS BANK, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 29.5x.
