BAJAJ AUTO Share Price Up by 6%; BSE AUTO Index Up 3.4%

BAJAJ AUTO share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 3,935.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 24,164 (up 3.4%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE AUTO Index today are BAJAJ AUTO (up 6.1%) and TATA MOTORS (up 5.2%).

Over the last one year, BAJAJ AUTO has moved up from Rs 3,104 to Rs 3,935, registering a gain of Rs 830 (up 26.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE AUTO has moved up from 18,740 to 24,164, registering a gain of 5,424 points (up 28.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE AUTO Index stocks during this same period were BALKRISHNA INDUSTRIES (up 57.7%), TATA MOTORS (up 56.7%) and ASHOK LEYLAND (up 48.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,664 .

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BAJAJ AUTO (up 6.1%), M&M (up 2.1%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (up 1.6%). Other gainers include ASIAN PAINTS (up 1.0%) and TITAN (up 0.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,612 . The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BAJAJ AUTO (up 6.2%), TATA MOTORS (up 4.9%) and HERO MOTOCORP (up 4.2%). Other gainers include EICHER MOTOR (up 2.7%) and M&M (up 2.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,529 to 49,664, registering a gain of 8,135 points (up 19.53%).

BAJAJ AUTO Financial Update...

BAJAJ AUTO net profit down at Rs 11 billion for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 13 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 7.8% to Rs 70.4 billion during the period as against Rs 76.4 billion in July-September 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, BAJAJ AUTO reported 13.7% increase in net profit to Rs 52.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 45.9 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 1.4% to Rs 299 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BAJAJ AUTO, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 27.6x.
