BAJAJ AUTO at All Time High; BSE AUTO Index Up 1.5%

BAJAJ AUTO share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 4,130 (up 10.8%).

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 24,305 (up 1.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE AUTO Index today are BAJAJ AUTO (up 10.8%) and MRF (up 0.6%).

BALKRISHNA INDUSTRIES (down 0.4%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BAJAJ AUTO has moved up from Rs 3,104 to Rs 4,130, registering a gain of Rs 1,026 (up 32.3%).

The BSE AUTO has moved up from 18,740 to 24,305, registering a gain of 5,565 points (up 26.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO Index stocks during this same period were BALKRISHNA INDUSTRIES (up 52.2%), TATA MOTORS (up 48.9%) and ASHOK LEYLAND (up 44.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,677 (down 1.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BAJAJ AUTO (up 10.8%), HUL (up 1.6%) and ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 0.9%). Other gainers include TCS (up 0.8%) and BAJAJ FINSERV (up 0.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are BAJAJ AUTO and TCS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,620 (down 1.5%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BAJAJ AUTO (up 11.2%), HERO MOTOCORP (up 4.0%) and EICHER MOTOR (up 1.8%). Other gainers include HUL (up 1.5%) and ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 0.7%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,529 to 49,677, registering a gain of 8,148 points (up 17.6%).

BAJAJ AUTO Financial Update...

BAJAJ AUTO net profit stood at Rs 16 billion for the quarter ended December 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 13 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 16.6% to Rs 89.1 billion during the period as against Rs 76.4 billion in October-December 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, BAJAJ AUTO reported 13.7% increase in net profit to Rs 52.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 45.9 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 1.4% to Rs 299 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BAJAJ AUTO, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 26.8x.
