Indian Stock Market Updates January 6, 2021

GODREJ PROPERTIES at All Time High; BSE REALTY Index Up 1.4%

GODREJ PROPERTIES share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 1,466 (up 3.7%).

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY Index is at 2,536 (up 1.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY Index today are GODREJ PROPERTIES (up 3.7%) and PHOENIX MILL (up 0.8%).

OMAXE (down 0.4%) and SUNTECK REALTY (down 1.0%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, GODREJ PROPERTIES has moved up from Rs 926 to Rs 1,466, registering a gain of Rs 540 (up 57.5%).

The BSE REALTY has moved up from 2,232 to 2,536, registering a gain of 304 points (up 13.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY Index stocks during this same period were GODREJ PROPERTIES (up 57.5%), OBEROI REALTY (up 14.9%) and DLF (up 9.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 48,617 (down 0.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ONGC (up 3.2%), BHARTI AIRTEL (up 2.3%) and SBI (up 1.8%). Other gainers include POWER GRID (up 1.4%) and ICICI BANK (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,244 . The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include GAIL (up 3.6%), ONGC (up 3.2%) and WIPRO (up 2.4%). Other gainers include BHARTI AIRTEL (up 2.3%) and SBI (up 2.0%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,677 to 48,617, registering a gain of 7,940 points (up 18.9%).

GODREJ PROPERTIES Financial Update...

GODREJ PROPERTIES net profit down at Rs 100 million for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 716 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 81.1% to Rs 723.0 million during the period as against Rs 3.8 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, GODREJ PROPERTIES reported 93.7% increase in net profit to Rs 2.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.2 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 75.7% to Rs 28 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GODREJ PROPERTIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 138.0x.
