JINDAL STEEL & POWER Share Price Down by 5%; BSE METAL Index Down 2.3%

JINDAL STEEL & POWER share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 309.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL Index is at 12,085 (down 2.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL Index today are JINDAL STEEL & POWER (down 5.0%) and SAIL (down 7.2%).

Over the last one year, JINDAL STEEL & POWER has moved up from Rs 179 to Rs 309, registering a gain of Rs 130 (up 72.4%)..

The BSE METAL has moved up from 10,520 to 12,085, registering a gain of 1,565 points (up 14.9%) during the last 12 months.

JINDAL STEEL & POWER Financial Update...

JINDAL STEEL & POWER net profit declined 239.8% YoY to Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 5.3% to Rs 88.1 billion during the period as against Rs 93.0 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, JINDAL STEEL & POWER reported 10.0% decrease in net profit to Rs 9.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 10.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 39.0% to Rs 395 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JINDAL STEEL & POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 69.3x.
