DHFL Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.5%

DHFL share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 159.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,158 (up 0.5%).
Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are DHFL (down 5.0%) and IL&FS TRANSPORTATION (down 5.0%).
GRAPHITE INDIA (up 6.6%) and SUNDRAM FASTENERS (up 5.3%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, DHFL has moved down from Rs 588 to Rs 159, registering a loss of Rs 429 (down 73.0%)..
The BSE 500 has moved down from 15,418 to 14,158, loss of 1,260 points (down 8.2%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were VINATI ORG. (up 70.4%), V-MART RETAIL (up 62.7%) and AARTI INDUST (up 57.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 35,825 (up 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA STEEL (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI BANK and YES BANK.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,708 (up 0.5%). ICICI BANK (up 2.0%) and TATA STEEL (up 1.9%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,034 to 35,825, registering a gain of -209 points (up -0.7%).
DHFL Financial Update...
DHFL net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended December 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 23.5% to Rs 32.5 billion during the period as against Rs 26.3 billion in October-December 2017.
For the year ended March 2018, DHFL reported 22.6% increase in net profit to Rs 11.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 9.4 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 9.4% to Rs 105 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of DHFL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 3.2x.
