IPCA LABS Surges by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Down 0.2%

IPCA LABS share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 815.
Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 13,531 (down 0.2%).
Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are IPCA LABS (up 5.1%) and THYROCARE TECHNOLOGIES (up 9.9%).
LUPIN LTD (down 0.1%) and FORTIS HEALTHCARE (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, IPCA LABS has moved up from Rs 604 to Rs 815, registering a gain of Rs 211 (up 34.9%).
On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved down from 14,350 to 13,531, loss of 819 points (down 6.6%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were DIVIS LABORATORIES (up 51.1%), IPCA LABS (up 34.9%) and ABBOTT INDIA (up 30.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 35,912 (down 0.5%).
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ONGC (up 1.9%), AXIS BANK (up 1.4%) and TATA STEEL (up 1.1%). Other gainers include VEDANTA LTD (up 0.8%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 0.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TATA STEEL and VEDANTA LTD.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,760 (down 0.4%). BHARTI INFRATEL (up 3.5%) and ONGC (up 1.9%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 34,297 to 35,912, registering a gain of 1,615 points (up 3.9%).
IPCA LABS Financial Update...
IPCA LABS net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended December 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 10.3% to Rs 9.5 billion during the period as against Rs 8.6 billion in October-December 2017.
For the year ended March 2018, IPCA LABS reported 23.1% increase in net profit to Rs 2.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.9 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 2.2% to Rs 33 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of IPCA LABS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 25.9x.
