V GUARD INDUSTRIES at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Down 0.3 %

V GUARD INDUSTRIES share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 245 (up 4.4%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,742 (down 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are V GUARD INDUSTRIES (up 4.4%) and INDIA TOURISM DEV. (up 8.6%).

DILIP BUILDCON LTD (down 5.0%) and INDIA CEMENTS (down 5.0%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, V GUARD INDUSTRIES has moved up from Rs 204 to Rs 245, registering a gain of Rs 41 (up 20.20%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,550 to 15,742, registering a gain of 1,192 points (up 7.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were BATA INDIA (up 83.3%), TUBE INVESTMENTS OF INDIA LTD (up 79.0%) and MUTHOOT FINANCE (up 72.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,312 (down 0.3%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 1.9%), NTPC (up 1.7%) and VEDANTA LTD (up 1.6%). Other gainers include AXIS BANK (up 1.3%) and TATA MOTORS DVR (up 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and AXIS BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,095 (down 0.5%). BHARTI INFRATEL (up 1.8%) and YES BANK (up 1.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,012 to 40,312, registering a gain of 5,300 points (up 14.6%).

V GUARD INDUSTRIES Financial Update...

V GUARD INDUSTRIES net profit stood at Rs 592 million for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 337 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 24.5% to Rs 7.4 billion during the period as against Rs 5.9 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, V GUARD INDUSTRIES reported 6.6% decrease in net profit to Rs 1.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.4 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 10.5% to Rs 23 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of V GUARD INDUSTRIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 63.0x.
