RELIANCE CAPITAL Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.6%

RELIANCE CAPITAL share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 24.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,906 (up 0.6%).
Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are RELIANCE CAPITAL (down 6.3%) and RELAXO FOOTWEARS (down 5.2%).
SHIPPING CORP. (up 9.8%) and GE T&D INDIA (up 8.0%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, RELIANCE CAPITAL has moved down from Rs 286 to Rs 24, registering a loss of Rs 262 (down 91.5%)..
The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,534 to 14,906, registering a gain of 372 points (up 2.6%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 149.5%), INTERGLOBE AVIATION (INDIGO) (up 132.1%) and SPICEJET (up 93.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 38,915 (up 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 4.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,554 (up 0.6%). BPCL (up 8.1%) and IOC (up 4.9%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,526 to 38,915, registering a gain of 2,389 points (up 6.5%).
RELIANCE CAPITAL Financial Update...
RELIANCE CAPITAL net profit stood at Rs 12 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 20.2% to Rs 60.1 billion during the period as against Rs 50.0 billion in April-June 2018.
For the year ended March 2018, RELIANCE CAPITAL reported 1.0% decrease in net profit to Rs 12.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 12.5 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 13.5% to Rs 199 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of RELIANCE CAPITAL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.8x.
