APOLLO TYRES Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.2%

APOLLO TYRES share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 183.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,906 (down 0.2%).
Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are APOLLO TYRES (down 5.2%) and SONATA SOFTWARE (down 5.0%).
RELIANCE POWER (up 16.8%) and JAIPRAKASH ASSO. (up 9.8%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, APOLLO TYRES has moved down from Rs 213 to Rs 183, registering a loss of Rs 30 (down 14.1%)..
The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,534 to 14,906, registering a gain of 372 points (up 2.6%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 141.8%), INTERGLOBE AVIATION (INDIGO) (up 132.9%) and SPICEJET (up 90.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 38,924 . The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HDFC (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI BANK and VEDANTA LTD.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,554 (down 0.1%). BPCL (up 5.5%) and HDFC (up 2.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,526 to 38,924, registering a gain of 2,398 points (up 5.8%).
APOLLO TYRES Financial Update...
APOLLO TYRES net profit down at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 8.2% to Rs 43.3 billion during the period as against Rs 47.2 billion in April-June 2018.
For the year ended March 2018, APOLLO TYRES reported 34.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 7.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 11.0 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 6.2% to Rs 149 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of APOLLO TYRES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.3x.
