PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES Surges by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 1.0%

PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,694.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 13,138 (up 1.0%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES (up 5.2%) and PROCTER & GAMBLE HEALTH (up 7.0%).

LUPIN (down 0.1%) and ALKEM LABORATORIES (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES has moved down from Rs 2,026 to Rs 1,694, registering a loss of Rs 332 (down 16.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved down from 14,460 to 13,138, loss of 1,322 points (down 9.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were DR. LAL PATHLABS LTD (up 84.5%), ABBOTT INDIA (up 70.9%) and PROCTER & GAMBLE HEALTH (up 65.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 39,740 (up 1.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA MOTORS DVR (up 14.1%), TATA MOTORS (up 12.8%) and TATA STEEL (up 6.8%). Other gainers include YES BANK (up 5.6%) and VEDANTA LTD (up 4.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,766 (up 1.1%). TATA MOTORS (up 12.9%) and TATA STEEL (up 6.8%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 34,067 to 39,740, registering a gain of 5,673 points (up 16.4%).

PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES Financial Update...

PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES net profit stood at Rs 6 billion for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 5 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 3.3% to Rs 36.0 billion during the period as against Rs 34.9 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES reported 76.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 11.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 48.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 24.2% to Rs 132 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 17.1x.
