BSE Sensex at All Time High; INDUSIND BANK Among Top Gainers

The BSE Sensex has hit an all-time high at 40,626 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are INDUSIND BANK (up 1.2%), SUN PHARMA (up 1.1%) and ITC (up 0.9%). Other gainers include VEDANTA LTD (up 0.8%) and NTPC (up 0.7%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ASIAN PAINTS and HERO MOTOCORP.

BHARTI AIRTEL (down 3.3%) and YES BANK (down 1.1%) are among the top losers today.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 12,021 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include HDFC (up 1.2%), BHARTI AIRTEL (up 0.9%) and UPL (up 0.9%). Other gainers include SUN PHARMA (up 0.9%) and IOC (up 0.8%).

Which stocks contributed the most to the BSE Sensex?

Over the last one year, the BSE Sensex has moved up from Rs 34,992 to Rs 40,626, registering a gain of Rs 5,634 (up 16.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks during this same period were BAJAJ FINANCE (up 79.6%), ASIAN PAINTS (up 45.2%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 39.7%).

What about the other broader BSE Indices?

Over the last 12 months, the BSE 100 index has gained 1,313 points and is now trading at 12,110. The top gainer here is BPCL (up 84.5%).

The BSE 500 on the other hand gained 1,447 points (up 0.4%), and is currently at 15,495.
