Indian Stock Market Updates December 2, 2019

PC JEWELLER Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.3%

PC JEWELLER share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 30.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,650 (down 0.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are PC JEWELLER (down 5.1%) and GRAPHITE INDIA (down 6.9%).

VODAFONE IDEA (up 16.3%) and JAIPRAKASH ASSO. (up 9.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, PC JEWELLER has moved down from Rs 69 to Rs 30, registering a loss of Rs 38 (down 55.8%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,396 to 15,650, registering a gain of 1,254 points (up 8.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 174.4%), RELIANCE NIPPON LIFE ASSET MANAGEMENT LTD (up 106.2%) and ASTRAZENECA PHARMA (up 91.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 41,094 (down 0.2%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BHARTI AIRTEL (up 4.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are BHARTI AIRTEL and VEDANTA LTD.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,137 (down 0.2%). BHARTI AIRTEL (up 4.1%) and GRASIM (up 2.4%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,170 to 41,094, registering a gain of 4,924 points (up 12.6%).

PC JEWELLER Financial Update...

PC JEWELLER net profit down at Rs 481 million for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 36.4% to Rs 13.5 billion during the period as against Rs 21.2 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, PC JEWELLER reported 99.9% decrease in net profit to Rs 6.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 5.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 9.7% to Rs 87 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PC JEWELLER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 11.7x.
