ESCORTS LIMITED Surges by 5%; BSE AUTO Index Up 1.7%

ESCORTS LIMITED share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 820.
Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 15,854 (up 1.7%).
Among the top Gainers in the BSE AUTO Index today is ESCORTS LIMITED (up 5.1%).
Over the last one year, ESCORTS LIMITED has moved up from Rs 659 to Rs 820, registering a gain of Rs 161 (up 24.5%).
On the other hand, the BSE AUTO has moved down from 18,806 to 15,854, loss of 2,952 points (down 15.8%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE AUTO Index stocks during this same period were BALKRISHNA INDUSTRIES (up 23.8%), MRF LTD. (up 17.6%) and BAJAJ AUTO (up 0.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 39,002 (up 1.8%).
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are NTPC (up 3.2%), HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 2.9%) and SBI (up 2.8%). Other gainers include ONGC (up 2.7%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are MARUTI SUZUKI and ULTRATECH CEMENT.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,387 (up 1.7%). TATA MOTORS (up 3.1%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,867 to 39,002, registering a gain of 3,135 points (up 8.7%).
ESCORTS LIMITED Financial Update...
ESCORTS LIMITED net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 1.3% to Rs 16.3 billion during the period as against Rs 16.6 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, ESCORTS LIMITED reported 33.7% increase in net profit to Rs 4.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.5 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 23.3% to Rs 63 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of ESCORTS LIMITED, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 21.7x.
