Indian Stock Market Updates March 4, 2020

FORCE MOTORS Plunges by 5%; BSE AUTO Index Down 2.5%

FORCE MOTORS share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,090.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 15,820 (down 2.5%).

Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO Index today are FORCE MOTORS (down 5.1%) and EICHER MOTOR (down 5.4%).

M&M (up 0.5%) is among the top gainer today.

Over the last one year, FORCE MOTORS has moved down from Rs 1,678 to Rs 1,090, registering a loss of Rs 588 (down 35.0%)..

The BSE AUTO has moved down from 19,505 to 15,820, loss of 3,685 points (down 18.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE AUTO Index stocks during this same period were BALKRISHNA INDUSTRIES (up 19.1%) and MRF LTD. (up 15.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,792 (down 1.7%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 2.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA and INFOSYS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,357 (down 1.6%). CIPLA (up 3.5%) and DR. REDDYS LAB (up 3.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,443 to 38,792, registering a gain of 2,349 points (up 4.2%).

FORCE MOTORS Financial Update...

FORCE MOTORS net profit down at Rs 75 million for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 273 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 8.6% to Rs 7.6 billion during the period as against Rs 8.3 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, FORCE MOTORS reported 0.1% increase in net profit to Rs 1.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.5 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 3.4% to Rs 37 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of FORCE MOTORS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 13.4x.
