FINOLEX CABLES Surges by 10%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.4%

FINOLEX CABLES share price has zoomed 10% and is presently trading at Rs 192.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 10,696 (up 0.4%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are FINOLEX CABLES (up 9.9%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA LTD (up 6.1%).

BHEL (down 0.5%) and NBCC (INDIA) LTD (down 1.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, FINOLEX CABLES has moved down from Rs 479 to Rs 192, registering a loss of Rs 287 (down 59.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 18,165 to 10,696, loss of 7,469 points (down 42.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 13.3%) and SIEMENS (up 3.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 29,084 (up 1.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INDUSIND BANK (up 10.0%), AXIS BANK (up 6.2%) and TECH MAHINDRA (up 5.1%). Other gainers include INFOSYS (up 4.8%) and SUN PHARMA (up 4.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI BANK and AXIS BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 8,461 (up 1.0%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include INDUSIND BANK (up 10.0%), AXIS BANK (up 7.1%) and TECH MAHINDRA (up 4.8%). Other gainers include INFOSYS (up 4.8%) and BHARTI INFRATEL (up 4.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 37,809 to 29,084, registering a loss of 8,725 points (down 23.71%).

FINOLEX CABLES Financial Update...

FINOLEX CABLES net profit stood at Rs 806 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 759 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 6.3% to Rs 7.0 billion during the period as against Rs 7.5 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, FINOLEX CABLES reported 14.0% decrease in net profit to Rs 2.6 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 8.0% to Rs 29 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of FINOLEX CABLES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 7.9x.

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are SIEMENS (up 1.7%) and HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 1.9%). The top losers include HAVELLS INDIA (down 0.2%) and GRAPHITE INDIA (down 0.2%).
