BAJAJ AUTO Surges by 10%; BSE AUTO Index Up 8.0%

BAJAJ AUTO share price has zoomed 10% and is presently trading at Rs 2,478.
Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 12,405 (up 8.0%).
Among the top Gainers in the BSE AUTO Index today are BAJAJ AUTO (up 10.1%) and MOTHERSON SUMI (up 10.4%).
Over the last one year, BAJAJ AUTO has moved down from Rs 2,852 to Rs 2,478, registering a loss of Rs 375 (down 13.3%).
On the other hand, the BSE AUTO has moved down from 19,228 to 12,405, loss of 6,823 points (down 35.6%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE AUTO Index stocks during this same period were MRF LTD. (up 0.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 31,042 (up 3.5%).
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BAJAJ AUTO (up 10.1%), HERO MOTOCORP (up 9.6%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (up 9.5%). Other gainers include HDFC (up 8.8%) and TITAN (up 8.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ICICI BANK.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,086 (up 3.6%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include CIPLA (up 14.0%), BAJAJ AUTO (up 10.3%) and TATA MOTORS (up 9.7%). Other gainers include MARUTI SUZUKI (up 9.3%) and HERO MOTOCORP (up 9.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,701 to 31,042, registering a loss of 7,659 points (down 20.02%).
BAJAJ AUTO Financial Update...
BAJAJ AUTO net profit stood at Rs 13 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 11 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 3.1% to Rs 76.4 billion during the period as against Rs 74.1 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, BAJAJ AUTO reported 7.9% increase in net profit to Rs 45.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 42.5 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 18.1% to Rs 303 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of BAJAJ AUTO, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.3x.
