Indian Stock Market Updates July 14, 2020

MMTC LTD Share Price Down by 6%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.8%

MMTC LTD share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 20.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 13,961 (down 0.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are MMTC LTD (down 5.5%) and SKF INDIA (down 8.7%).

GSK CONSUMER (up 5.1%) and SADBHAV ENGINEERING (up 5.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, MMTC LTD has moved down from Rs 22 to Rs 20, registering a loss of Rs 3 (down 12.0%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,991 to 13,961, loss of 1,030 points (down 6.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 629.2%), DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 202.3%) and NAVIN FLUORINE (up 153.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,538 (down 1.0%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and BHARTI AIRTEL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,756 (down 0.9%). HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 1.2%) and WIPRO (up 1.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,897 to 36,538, registering a loss of 2,359 points (down 6.57%).

MMTC LTD Financial Update...

MMTC LTD net profit down at Rs 10 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 280 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 20.3% to Rs 74.6 billion during the period as against Rs 93.7 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, MMTC LTD reported 170.5% increase in net profit to Rs 935.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 346.0 million during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 79.0% to Rs 294 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of MMTC LTD, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 50.6x.
