Indian Stock Market Updates August 5, 2020

MINDTREE at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Up 1.0%

MINDTREE share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 1,147 (up 1.2%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,567 (up 1.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are MINDTREE (up 1.2%) and SUN PHARMA ADV. RES. (up 10.4%).

OMAXE LTD (down 5.0%) and MRPL (down 4.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, MINDTREE has moved up from Rs 708 to Rs 1,147, registering a gain of Rs 440 (up 61.07%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,993 to 14,567, registering a gain of 574 points (up 4.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 655.2%), DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 324.6%) and GRANULES INDIA (up 245.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,115 (up 1.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are AXIS BANK (up 3.4%), BAJAJ FINANCE (up 2.8%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 2.3%). Other gainers include BAJAJ FINSERV (up 2.3%) and ICICI BANK (up 2.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and RELIANCE IND..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,222 (up 1.0%). HINDALCO (up 3.7%) and AXIS BANK (up 3.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,700 to 38,115, registering a gain of 1,415 points (up 3.8%).

MINDTREE Financial Update...

MINDTREE net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 4.3% to Rs 20.5 billion during the period as against Rs 19.7 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, MINDTREE reported 32.3% increase in net profit to Rs 7.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.7 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 28.5% to Rs 70 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of MINDTREE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 29.7x.
