Indian Stock Market Updates August 17, 2020

REDINGTON Share Price Up by 11%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.3%

REDINGTON share price has zoomed 11% and is presently trading at Rs 122.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,729 (up 0.3%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are REDINGTON (up 11.2%) and THYROCARE TECHNOLOGIES (up 10.4%).

SUN PHARMA and CONTAINER CORPORATION are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, REDINGTON has moved up from Rs 99 to Rs 122, registering a gain of Rs 24 (up 22.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE 500 has moved up from 14,212 to 14,729, registering a gain of 517 points (up 3.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 676.7%), GRANULES INDIA (up 233.0%) and DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 232.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,119 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are NTPC (up 7.5%), BAJAJ AUTO (up 3.6%) and POWER GRID (up 3.2%). Other gainers include TECH MAHINDRA (up 2.4%) and L&T (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and ONGC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,249 (up 0.3%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include NTPC (up 7.4%), EICHER MOTOR (up 5.0%) and ZEE ENTERTAINMENT (up 4.4%). Other gainers include BAJAJ AUTO (up 3.7%) and HERO MOTOCORP (up 3.5%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 37,312 to 38,119, registering a gain of 807 points (up 1.62%).

REDINGTON Financial Update...

REDINGTON net profit down at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 14.3% to Rs 126.7 billion during the period as against Rs 147.8 billion in January-March 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, REDINGTON reported 0.0% increase in net profit to Rs 4.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.8 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 11.9% to Rs 465 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of REDINGTON, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 8.9x.
