TATA ELXSI Share Price Down by 6%; BSE IT Index Down 0.2%

TATA ELXSI share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 1,146.
Meanwhile, the BSE IT Index is at 18,479 (down 0.2%).
Among the top losers in the BSE IT Index today are TATA ELXSI (down 5.5%) and ECLERX SERVICES (down 6.7%).
WIPRO (up 1.3%) and INFOSYS (up 0.3%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, TATA ELXSI has moved up from Rs 649 to Rs 1,146, registering a gain of Rs 497 (up 76.6%)..
The BSE IT has moved up from 16,011 to 18,479, registering a gain of 2,468 points (up 15.4%) during the last 12 months.
The top buzzing stocks among the BSE IT Index stocks during this same period were INFIBEAM AVENUES (up 90.2%), PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 84.1%) and MINDTREE (up 71.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 40,010 (down 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ONGC (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and HDFC BANK.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,794 (down 0.7%). ONGC (up 3.4%) and BHARTI INFRATEL (up 2.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 37,452 to 40,010, registering a gain of 2,558 points (up 4.77%).
TATA ELXSI Financial Update...
TATA ELXSI net profit stood at Rs 821 million for the quarter ended March 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 754 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 3.6% to Rs 4.4 billion during the period as against Rs 4.2 billion in January-March 2019.
For the year ended March 2018, TATA ELXSI reported 37.3% increase in net profit to Rs 2.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.7 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 12.0% to Rs 14 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of TATA ELXSI, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 26.2x.
