IFCI Share Price Up by 11%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.9%

IFCI share price has zoomed 11% and is presently trading at Rs 8.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,015 (down 0.9%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today is IFCI (up 10.9%).

CUMMINS INDIA (down 0.1%) and ERIS LIFESCIENCES LIMITED (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, IFCI has moved up from Rs 7 to Rs 8, registering a gain of Rs 1 (up 8.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE 500 has moved up from 13,956 to 15,015, registering a gain of 1,059 points (up 7.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 1125.3%), LAURUS LABS LTD (up 262.4%) and GRANULES INDIA (up 261.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,575 (down 1.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are MARUTI SUZUKI (up 1.6%), SUN PHARMA (up 0.4%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 0.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA and ASIAN PAINTS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,410 (down 1.2%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BHARTI INFRATEL (up 3.3%), MARUTI SUZUKI (up 1.4%) and BRITANNIA (up 1.0%). Other gainers include CIPLA (up 0.8%) and DR. REDDYS LAB (up 0.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,563 to 38,575, registering a gain of 2,012 points (up 5.41%).

IFCI Financial Update...

IFCI net profit declined 78.8% YoY to Rs 104 million for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 488 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 23.6% to Rs 4.8 billion during the period as against Rs 6.3 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, IFCI reported 199.6% increase in net profit to Rs 9.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.2 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 3.7% to Rs 34 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of IFCI, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 11.3x.
