IDFC FIRST BANK at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Up 2.0%

IDFC FIRST BANK share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 51 (up 7.8%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 19,065 (up 1.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are IDFC FIRST BANK (up 7.8%) and HINDUSTAN ZINC (up 13.1%).

CORPORATION BANK (down 3.9%) and ALEMBIC PHARMA (down 3.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, IDFC FIRST BANK has moved up from Rs 45 to Rs 51, registering a gain of Rs 6 (up 11.67%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 16,015 to 19,065, registering a gain of 3,050 points (up 18.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 424.7%), LAURUS LABS (up 346.5%) and VAIBHAV GLOBAL (up 189.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 49,500 (up 1.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BAJAJ FINSERV (up 6.7%), BAJAJ FINANCE (up 5.2%) and HDFC (up 3.1%). Other gainers include SUN PHARMA (up 2.8%) and ICICI BANK (up 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,546 (up 1.7%). BAJAJ FINSERV (up 6.8%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 5.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,873 to 49,500, registering a gain of 7,627 points (up 17.9%).

IDFC FIRST BANK Financial Update...

IDFC FIRST BANK net profit declined 105.7% YoY to Rs 935 million for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 16 billion a year ago. Operating income declined 6.6% to Rs 38.3 billion during the period as against Rs 41.0 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, IDFC FIRST BANK reported 51.2% increase in net profit to Rs 28.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 18.8 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 33.1% to Rs 162 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of IDFC FIRST BANK, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 11.2x.
