BATA INDIA at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Down 0.2 %

BATA INDIA share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 949 (up 0.4%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,321 (down 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are BATA INDIA (up 0.4%) and VENKYS (I) LIMITED (up 20.0%).

JBF INDUSTRIES (down 4.9%) and ADANI POWER (down 4.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BATA INDIA has moved up from Rs 586 to Rs 949, registering a gain of Rs 363 (up 61.42%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,928 to 15,321, registering a gain of 1,393 points (up 9.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were HEG LTD (up 795.7%), GRAPHITE INDIA (up 409.8%) and BOMBAY DYEING (up 217.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 37,530 (down 0.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are POWER GRID (up 1.7%), SUN PHARMA (up 1.6%) and HIND. UNILEVER (up 1.2%). Other gainers include INDUSIND BANK (up 1.1%) and TATA MOTORS DVR (up 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA and POWER GRID.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,329 (down 0.5%). LUPIN LTD (up 2.2%) and DR. REDDYS LAB (up 2.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 32,575 to 37,530, registering a gain of 4,955 points (up 14.6%).

BATA INDIA Financial Update...

BATA INDIA net profit grew 21.1% YoY to Rs 826 million for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 682 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 18.3% to Rs 8.0 billion during the period as against Rs 6.7 billion in April-June 2017.

For the year ended March 2017, BATA INDIA reported 26.6% increase in net profit to Rs 1.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.4 billion during FY16.

Revenue of the company grew 2.0% to Rs 25 billion during FY17.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BATA INDIA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 49.4x.
