Indian Stock Market Updates August 27, 2018

ADANI TRANSMISSION Surges by 11%; BSE POWER Index Up 1.8%

ADANI TRANSMISSION share price has zoomed 11% and is presently trading at Rs 189.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 2,079 (up 1.8%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE POWER Index today is ADANI TRANSMISSION (up 11.3%).

SIEMENS (down 0.1%) and NHPC LTD (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ADANI TRANSMISSION has moved up from Rs 109 to Rs 189, registering a gain of Rs 80 (up 73.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER has moved down from 2,244 to 2,079, loss of 165 points (down 7.4%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were ADANI TRANSMISSION (up 73.3%), TORRENT POWER LTD (up 22.9%) and ADANI POWER (up 13.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,691 (up 1.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ICICI BANK (up 3.3%), POWER GRID (up 3.1%) and SBI (up 3.1%). Other gainers include YES BANK (up 1.9%) and TATA STEEL (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI BANK and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,684 (up 1.1%). ICICI BANK (up 3.2%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,596 to 38,691, registering a gain of 7,095 points (up 22.5%).
