When we talk Indian conglomerates, it is impossible to not mention the name of Adani Group.
The Adani Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate founded by Gautam Adani in 1988. The group has grown at a robust pace in the last decade.
Below are the listed Adani group stocks on BSE and NSE:

- Adani Green Energy
- Adani Ports & SEZ
- Adani Power
- Adani Total Gas
- Adani Transmission
- Adani Wilmar
- Ambuja Cement
- NDTV
- ACC Cement
These are several unlisted companies too which may list in the future. Adani Renewables, Adani Defence and Aerospace, etc.
In the post Covid rally starting around mid-2020, most of the Adani group's listed companies had a phenomenal run. Some of these companies became the best performing stocks since the March 2020 crash.
The stupendous rally in Adani stocks came to a halt starting January 2023 when Hindenburg accused the Adani group of market manipulation and accounting fraud. On 24 January 2023, Hindenburg Research, a firm specialising in forensic financial research, published a long report, accusing the Adani Group of brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud over a course of 20 years.
As expected, the report spread like wildfire, leading to a selling frenzy in Adani group shares. Most of the Adani stocks were already trading at expensive valuations and the report was like a nail in the coffin.
Before making an investment decision, you should carefully look into the PE ratio of Adani group companies and see whether they are expensive or not compared to other stocks in the industry.
