Indian Indices Erase Gains; Healthcare Stocks Under Pressure
Mon, 8 Jun 01:30 pm

Share markets in India have turned volatile, in line with global counterparts that erased gains as investors panicked over the global economic damage from COVID-19 pandemic.

Market participants are also taking cues from European stock markets, which opened lower.

The BSE Sensex rallied as much as 600 points in opening trade, while the broader NSE Nifty topped 10,300-mark.

Presently, the BSE Sensex is trading up by 130 points, up 0.4%. Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty is trading up by 41 points.

Sectoral indices are trading on a mixed note with stocks in the oil & gas sector and IT sector witnessing buying interest.

Healthcare stocks on the other hand are witnessing selling pressure.
