HEG share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 542.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 66,429.1 (up 0.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Graphite India (down 4.4%) and Carborundum Universal (down 2.4%).

V GUARD IND. (up 3.1%) and Honeywell Automation (up 2.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HEG has moved up from Rs 401.1 to Rs 542.5, registering a gain of Rs 141.4 (up 35.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 60,136.3 to 66,429.1, registering a gain of 10.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Electronics (up 73.2%), BHEL (up 38.9%) and Graphite India (up 38.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,042.7 (down 0.6%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Steel (down 4.8%) and Infosys (down 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,252.4 (down 0.7%). Hindalco and Tata Steel are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 75,901.4 to 82,042.7, registering a gain of 6,141.3 points (up 8.1%).

HEG Financial Update...

HEG net profit grew 119.9% YoY to Rs 1,361 million for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 619 million a year ago. Net sales rose 23.2% to Rs 6,992 million during the period as against Rs 5,676 million in July-September 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, HEG reported 63.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 1,151 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,117 million during FY24. Revenue of the company fell 9.8% to Rs 21,597 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HEG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 40.6.
