NELCO Gains 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 4.9%

NELCO share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 643.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 65,325.1 (up 4.9%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Bharat Electronics (up 8.8%) and ABB (up 6.9%).

GRINDWELL NORTON (down 0.6%) and L&T (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, NELCO has moved down from Rs 1,103.4 to Rs 643.5, registering a loss of Rs 460.0 (down 41.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 63,429.8 to 65,325.1, registering a gain of 3.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Electronics (up 65.4%), Graphite India (up 33.5%) and GMR Infra (up 27.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,078.6 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Eternal Ltd (up 4.7%) and Power Grid Corp. (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Eternal Ltd and Kotak Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,280.5 (up 0.4%). Bharat Electronics and ONGC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 76,520.4 to 82,078.6, registering a gain of 5,558.2 points (up 7.3%).

NELCO Financial Update...

NELCO net profit fell 127.1% YoY to Rs -13 million for the quarter ended December 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 49 million a year ago. Net sales declined 3.0% to Rs 783 million during the period as against Rs 807 million in October-December 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, NELCO reported 59.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 95 million compared to net profit of Rs 237 million during FY24. Revenue of the company fell 4.8% to Rs 3,049 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NELCO, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -726.9.
