South Ind.Bank share price has plunged 14% and is presently trading at Rs 38.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX index is at 67,208.7 (down 0.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE BANKEX index today are ICICI Bank (down 1.6%) and Kotak Bank (down 1.4%).

IDFC FIRST BANK (up 1.1%) and Axis Bank (up 0.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, South Ind.Bank has moved up from Rs 26.2 to Rs 38.0, registering a gain of Rs 11.9 (up 45.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX index has moved up from 55,516.4 to 67,208.7, registering a gain of 21.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX index stocks during this same period were AU SMALL FINANCE BANK (up 68.2%), Federal Bank (up 56.0%) and IDFC FIRST BANK (up 44.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,042.8 (down 0.6%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Steel (down 4.7%) and Infosys (down 2.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,252.4 (down 0.7%). Hindalco and Tata Steel are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 75,901.4 to 82,042.8, registering a gain of 6,141.3 points (up 8.1%).

South Ind.Bank Financial Update...

South Ind.Bank net profit grew 9.5% YoY to Rs 3,745 million for the quarter ended December 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 3,420 million a year ago. Net sales rose 6.2% to Rs 25,175 million during the period as against Rs 23,707 million in October-December 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, South Ind.Bank reported 21.8% increase in net profit to Rs 13,031 million compared to net profit of Rs 10,702 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 9.3% to Rs 94,133 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of South Ind.Bank, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 7.2.
