HINDUSTAN COPPER share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 709.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 39,177.4 (down 4.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are Hindustan Zinc (down 7.2%) and Vedanta (down 6.9%).

APOLLO TUBES (up 0.1%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HINDUSTAN COPPER has moved up from Rs 227.7 to Rs 709.0, registering a gain of Rs 481.3 (up 211.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 27,533.8 to 39,177.4, registering a gain of 42.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Hindalco (up 68.4%), Vedanta (up 67.6%) and Hindustan Zinc (up 53.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,042.7 (down 0.6%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Steel (down 4.8%) and Infosys (down 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,252.4 (down 0.7%). Hindalco and Tata Steel are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 75,901.4 to 82,042.7, registering a gain of 6,141.3 points (up 8.1%).

HINDUSTAN COPPER Financial Update...

HINDUSTAN COPPER net profit grew 83.0% YoY to Rs 1,860 million for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 1,017 million a year ago. Net sales rose 38.6% to Rs 7,180 million during the period as against Rs 5,182 million in July-September 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, HINDUSTAN COPPER reported 58.1% increase in net profit to Rs 4,674 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,957 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 20.6% to Rs 20,710 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HINDUSTAN COPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 119.7.
