Indian benchmark indices traded volatile throughout the session and ultimately closed green.

Indian equity benchmarks indices, Sensex and Nifty50 closed higher after a volatile session on Tuesday, buoyed by improved investor sentiment following the announcement of the bilateral trade deals between India and the European Union (EU).

At the closing bell on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex  closed higher by 319 points (up 0.4%).

Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 127 points higher (up 0.4%).

Adani Ports, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra among the top gainers today

M&M, Kotak Mahindra, Asian Paints on the hand, were among the top losers today.

The BSE MidCap index ended 1.5% lower and BSE SmallCap index ended 2.2% lower.

Sectoral indices were trading mixed on Tuesday with stocks in auto sector and telecommunication sector witnessed selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in metal sector and banking sector witnessed buying.

Top buzzing stocks today

Highway Infrastruture share price will be in focus today.

shares of Highway Infrastructure came into focus after the company announced the commencement of toll operations at Kaza Fee Plaza on the Chilakaluripet-Vijayawada section of NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh, effective 23 January 2026.

Torrent Pharma shares will also be a top buzzing stock.

Torrent Pharma's share price rose on 27 January 2026 after two positive developments. The company increased its stake in JB Chemicals, and its Dahej manufacturing facility received a clean report from the USFDA with zero observations.

DCB Bank Q3 FY26 Results

Shares of DCB Bank came into focus after the company reported its Q3 FY26 results.

The bank's net interest income (NII) rose 9% year-on-year to Rs 6.25 billion (bn) from Rs 5.43 bn a year ago.

Net profit for the quarter jumped 22% to Rs 1.85 bn compared to Rs 1.51 bn in Q3FY25.

The bank's net interest margin (NIM) remained steady at 3.27%, slightly lower than last year's 3.30%. Asset quality showed improvement, with gross non-performing assets (GNPA) falling to 2.72% from 2.91% in the previous quarter and net NPAs dropping to 1.10% from 1.21%. Advances grew 18% year-on-year, while deposits increased 20%.

Granules India Q3 FY26 Results

Shares of Granules India came into focus after the company reported its Q3 FY26 results.

Granules India saw strong buying interest after reporting a 28% year-on-year rise in net profit for the December quarter. Net profit reached Rs 1.50 bn, up from Rs 1.18 bn in the same quarter last year.

The company's total income also grew 22% year-on-year to Rs 13.88 bn in Q3FY26, compared to Rs 11.38 bn a year ago, according to an exchange filing.

EBITDA increased 34% to Rs 2.30 bn. Growth was driven by the finished dosage segment in North America and Europe, which boosted revenue.

A better product mix in this segment also helped improve the gross margin by 216 basis points compared to last year. Granules India noted that the share of finished dosages in its revenue continues to grow each quarter.

Avantel Q3 FY26 Results

Shares of Avantel came into focus after the company reported its Q3 FY26 results.

In Q3FY26, Avantel's revenue from operations fell to Rs 0.52 bn, down 27% from Rs 0.71 bn in the same quarter last year. Compared to the previous quarter (Q2FY26), revenue declined 6.7% from ?0.55 bn, marking the third consecutive quarter of declining revenue, suggesting ongoing challenges in demand or execution.

The company's net profit dropped sharply by 86% year-on-year to Rs 0.027 bn, down from Rs 0.20 bn in the year-ago period.

Avantel's EBITDA also fell 60% year-on-year to Rs 0.13 bn from Rs 0.33 bn in December 2024.

Earlier this month, the company received a purchase order worth Rs 0.112 bn from NewSpace India. The order involves supplying, installing, and commissioning devices for Xponders, with completion expected by July 2026.
